Ciao bella! We meet again.

There may have been some parodic exaggeration that is perfectly reasonable within the bantered-context of WHO. Anyway the best part of the story is a week or two later when I was so broke in Paris that I had to improvise a street performance to get some money. Lo and behold if it wasn't my luck to have the governor of the Cirque du soleil walk past and offer me a £750,000 contract on the spot. As you can imagine, I was chuffed to bits, but turned him down because I wanted to get back for Phil Parks testimonial (where I was to be an unused sub).

Sat on a barrier at the tram stop after the semi final defeat and they kept the Germans in,well when they came out the biggest Hun ever seen sauntered over to me pointed at me and said " you and me fight" I laughed and told him to " fuck right off" and tbf he did.
On way back Italians tried to smash the tram up so we steamed them in unison and ran them everywhere. English and Germans fighting Italians eh who could believe it 😳
At 3.30 the train to calais left absolutely rammed wig English bods, Five minutes after the Krautes attacked us in huge numbers and we were reluctant to leave our bags as just got them out of lockers but we dud and ran them out 🇬🇧

When I scanned the thread I immediately thought of the 'gas club'
Couple of my mates did the full tour there - lads at the time
A battle all the way, from dodging then getting battered by French Robo Plod for being English on the way in Paris to Turin and the mare of that city and scooter spotters with blades.
They met up with WH over there and after Turin took a sideways to San Remo before Naples, if I recall correctly, where the English mobbed up and took no shit
Wild times those, stories from the trip would scare shitless the Johnny come latelies
They too were captured by reporters for the 'inside' - as you would expect, it stayed in Italy ....

I was at a couple of the mentioned incidents below.

I was the old Italian bird that taught westhammerer about sex. jokes aside, still want to know if westhammerer was travelling the world at 14?

as for escapades abroad, Lansdowne Road '95 was pretty fucking on top.

Re: Anyone out in Turin in 90
after the Belgium turn out it was as if the whole of Turin was out for this one , walked from the station with a good London firm mainly West Ham with a few good Millwall and Chelsea , held it together despite taking alot of flying razor blades on string stuck in the lower tier at one end , up there with the night before in Palermo for difficult European experiences , will never forget the Manc i saved from a good kicking that night nearly getting me killed in Aberdeen a couple of years later , another good reason not to trust people i don't know .

Re: Anyone out in Turin in 90
w4 hammer i don't recall that at all , but anyone who attended that Italy game in Turin and yes West Ham did have a good turn out there will tell you that has to be one of the most hostile atmospheres ever at a game involving England or any club in europe .
